The Brooklyn, New York Home Reporter/Sunset News and Brooklyn Spectator group of weekly newspapers have been sold. Victoria and Joshua Schneps, publishers of the Queens Couriers group, have acquired the titles from J. Frank Griffin. Kevin Kamen, president of Kamen & Co. Group Services, of Baldwin, NY, brokered the sale. The sale closed January 10, 2011.

I live in Marine Park, Brooklyn and just launched a new website, YourDealMatters.com with the vision to help make a difference to various not-for-profits in Brooklyn.
Similar to other group buying sites in NYC, this site has one major feature which I believe to be unique. You see, people who can enjoy savings on things to see, do and eat in the area, will also be able to feel good about their purchases because we give back 10% of our sales revenue to local schools, causes and charities. We even have a referral program which also benefits local non-profits.
